What you need to remember is that ,
when you are in an aeroplane, you are in the hands of true professionals.
Compare this with your situation whilst driving your car - You may be a
very very careful and accomplished driver, but what about all the other
motorists? They don't have professional safeguards built into their
driving techniques.
But, when you are in an airliner,
going thousands of miles, even at an altitude of over 30,000 feet, you
have the peace of mind of knowing that there is an organisation called
"Air Traffic Control" on your side. But not just on your side - on
everybody's side.
The people who are members of that
body are, to say the least, complete professionals, whose purpose is to
look after you, and all the other people on your flight, and every other
flight within their territory.
So, why not grasp the nettle? On the
law of averages - you'll be OK for 22,000 years. You may be a bit grey by
then, but you'll still be here!
So - please enjoy our web site, and
then, buy the book - it's not expensive, and its contents will go a long
way to easing, or curing your problem.
That's why you are reading this page -
because you want a solution. You have found it!
Here is a report on this book from AIRFRAID - a well
known critic of books on this topic -
| Tug’s inspiration
for writing his book stemmed from the constant questions he was
asked by other passengers on airliners whenever they found out that
he was a pilot. The usual questions were, “Is it safe?” “What keeps
the aeroplane up?” “What’s that noise?” and “Why do we get
turbulence?” Unfortunately all the books currently available explain
these things in such a technical way, that they tend to bamboozle
the average reader. Tug’s approach to this is much more relaxed,
almost as if you can imagine him talking directly to you whilst
sitting on the aeroplane.
The book is written in a humorous conversational style in order to
relax the reader such that they enjoy the whole flying experience.
There are a number of simple diagrams to help explain the mildly
complicated bits and Tug draws on his vast experience as a pilot to
do this. Topics that are covered include take off, approach and
landing, how aeroplanes fly, the weather (including the dreaded
turbulence) and safety as well as a whole host of other subjects.
